Privacy policy

MedPros is a Pakistan-based online education platform for medical and dental learners (medpros.pk). We are the data controller for the information described on this page when you visit the website, register for an account, take a course, sit a mock exam or contact our team.

We keep our data footprint small and purpose-driven. Broadly, MedPros holds four groups of information.

• Account details — Your name, email, phone number, country, and a securely hashed password. You may optionally add a profile photo, date of birth, city, profession, exam goal and areas of interest during onboarding.
• Learning activity — Courses you are enrolled in, lectures watched, time spent, quiz attempts, scores, reviews you write, discussion posts, and devices approved for playback.
• Payments and receipts — Order history, amount paid, currency, chosen merchant or bank, payment reference, payment proof uploads, invoice details and coupon codes used. Card or wallet details are handled by the payment processor — MedPros never sees your full card number.
• Technical signals — IP address, approximate region, device and browser, and secure cookies (see our cookie policy). We also keep short-lived logs for abuse prevention and diagnostics.

Everything we collect maps to one of these purposes:

• Running the service — signing you in, streaming lectures, grading quizzes, issuing certificates, and showing you the right courses on the home page or dashboard.
• Fulfilling your order — activating access after payment, sending receipts, applying coupons, and managing renewals or cohort schedules.
• Keeping accounts safe — device approval, OTP and email verification, rate‑limiting logins, and detecting fraud or credential sharing.
• Communicating with you — essential messages such as order confirmations, access activation, cohort reminders, payment reminders and security alerts. We may also send course updates and exam‑prep tips, which you can turn off in your profile or by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
• Improving MedPros — aggregate analytics on which lectures are watched, where learners struggle in a mock, and which features need work. Wherever possible we use anonymised or aggregated data.
• Meeting legal duties — tax, accounting, dispute handling and responding to lawful requests from Pakistani authorities.

MedPros does not sell personal data and we do not share it for other organisations' marketing.

We do share specific data with processors that help us run the service, strictly under contract and only as needed:

• Cloud hosting and email delivery (transactional and marketing where you opted in).
• Payment processors and partner merchants that receive bank transfers and card payments.
• Live class providers (for example Zoom) for scheduled cohorts.
• SMS/OTP providers for phone verification.
• Error and uptime monitoring vendors.

We may also disclose data when required by Pakistani law, a court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of MedPros, our learners or the public.

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. After closure we retain:

• Order, invoice and tax records for as long as Pakistani tax and accounting law requires.
• Safety and fraud logs for a limited, reasonable period to protect other learners.
• Anonymised statistics (never linked back to you) for product reporting.

If you do nothing with your account for an extended period we may archive it and ask you to reconfirm on next sign‑in.

You have meaningful control:

• Access — see what we hold from your profile and dashboard, or email support@medpros.pk for a full export.
• Correction — update name, email, phone, country and interests at any time in your profile.
• Deletion — you can request account deletion from your profile. If you have no outstanding invoices we remove identifying data and keep only what tax law requires (see retention above).
• Marketing opt‑out — click "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email or turn the preference off in your profile. Transactional messages about active orders, access or security cannot be disabled.
• Device management — remove approved devices from your profile to stop playback on a lost phone or shared laptop.

To make any of these requests, email support@medpros.pk from the address on your account. We respond within one business day in Pakistan.

MedPros is built for MDCAT aspirants, medical students and working doctors. If you are under 18, please use the platform with the consent and oversight of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly target children under 13; if you believe a minor has created an account without parental consent, email us and we will investigate.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS) by default, hashed passwords, restricted staff access, device approval to reduce credential sharing, and active monitoring for unusual activity. No online service can promise perfect security, so please choose a strong unique password, enable phone verification when asked, and sign out on shared devices.

Our platform is hosted to serve learners across Pakistan. If you access MedPros from another country your data may be processed on servers we use to run the service globally. By using MedPros you understand that this transfer may occur.

We may update this page when features, laws or providers change. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where appropriate, by email to active accounts. The effective date is shown above; please re‑read it from time to time.

For any privacy or data request, write to support@medpros.pk with the subject line "Privacy". Include the email on your MedPros account and a clear description of what you need. We reply within one business day (Pakistan Standard Time) and confirm the outcome in writing.
